How to Drink Pear Wine

Drink Pear Wine however you like. You'll enjoy it the most when it's nicely chilled. Give it a few hours in the fridge. If you're short on time to chill the wine quickly, try our tips for rapid wine chilling.

Pear Wine is great as an aperitif for a toast or as a digestif after a meal. If you’re craving something sweet, there’s no need to run to the nearest convenience store for chocolate. Pears are high in fructose, so a glass of Pear Wine will satisfy your sweet tooth. On the second day after opening, Pear Wine becomes even sweeter. If it’s too sweet for you, add an ice cube or some soda.

When temperatures drop unbearably low, make mulled Pear Wine and enjoy its fully developed flavors and aromas. It will bring back memories of warmer days. For the best mulled wine, heat it to about 60 degrees Celsius (once it starts to foam, it shouldn’t boil!) for a perfect mulled drink. Don’t add cinnamon or cloves, as they would clash with the flavor. Due to the high fructose content in pears, adding sugar would turn Pear Wine into an undrinkable syrup.
