How much alcohol do the wines contain?

The alcohol content is listed in each product description, either directly in the text or in the "Additional Info" section. You can also find this information on the bottles. Generally, it is around 12% alcohol.

Do your wines contain sugar?

Almost every fruit contains sugar. Our wines contain only residual sugar. After fermentation, we do not add any more sugar. However, it always depends on the type of fruit. For example, pears are rich in fructose and therefore sweet enough, so our pear wine does not need to be sweetened at any stage of production. On the other hand, cherries are sour, so to prevent the wine from being too tart, we need to sweeten it. White sugar is our enemy! If we need to sweeten, we only use fresh pear or grape juice, which we boil down into fruit caramel. This caramel, which no longer contains harmful sucrose, is used to gently sweeten the ingredients.

What about sulfites? Do your wines contain them?

Most of our wines do not contain sulfites at all. In some cases, however, the presence of sulfites is inevitable, but we can guarantee that it is literally just a grain of sand (specifically 0.3 grams). Unfortunately, we cannot completely avoid sulfites in the production of fruit wines, even if we wanted to. Some fruits, such as black currants, naturally produce small amounts of sulfur dioxide during fermentation.

Do your wines cause headaches?

Legislation is sensitive about such matters, so we cannot comment much on it. But let's put it this way: if you drink a whole bottle in an hour, especially on an empty stomach and by yourself, you probably know what to expect. It's just like any other alcohol. We recommend reading our customers' reviews to get an idea.

Where do you get your fruit?

We are strict about the quality of the fruit and personally monitor it with our suppliers. Frozen fruits are not allowed. They are often unpleasantly sour and require sweetening with sugar, which we don't want. Our priority is to source from Czech and Slovak farmers. If there is not enough fruit or we cannot find the required quality, we then look abroad in exceptional cases - for example, we buy mangoes for our Marango from the Canary Islands and can guarantee that there are no better mangoes available in Europe.

How should I store the wine properly?

Cool and dark places are ideal - just like with classic grape wines. Before consumption, place the bottle in the fridge for a few hours, especially for white (e.g., Beziňák) and rosé (e.g., Jahoďák) wines. Blueberry or blackcurrant wine can be drunk without chilling, just like regular red wine.

What is the shelf life of the wines?

  • Glass-bottled wines are suitable for aging and can last for decades. After opening, however, store the wine in the fridge and consume it within a week. It won't spoil, but the taste won't be the same.
  • We guarantee a shelf life of up to 2 months for PET-bottled wines from the delivery date. Don't worry; we account for a few days of delivery time. We use high-quality PET bottles that do not dissolve in alcohol. If you have an opened bottle, we recommend squeezing out the air before closing it.
  • Bag-in-box wines have a shelf life of up to 6 months after delivery - in the fridge, they last up to 45 days after opening. The bag prevents oxidation even after opening, so no air gets into the wine.

Are wines available all year round?

We have plenty of stock. We process the wine every year around October and November. Some special wines (sulfite-free) disappear so quickly that we can barely keep up. When that happens, we work hard on the next batch to have the specials back in the e-shop soon.

Are your wines vegan?

Yes, all our wines are vegan. We do not use any animal products for filtration or clarification.
